Frequently Asked Questions

Why are your plants so affordable?

"We keep our prices low by growing everything ourselves and running a highly efficient, family-operated nursery.

All of our plants are propagated in-house from seed and cuttings, which means we’re not paying third-party suppliers.

We reuse trays, pots, and packaging wherever possible to reduce waste and keep costs down.

Because we operate on our own land and keep our overheads minimal, we’re able to pass those savings directly on to our customers"

How much is delivery?

"Delivery costs vary depending on the number of plants you order and your location within New Zealand.

As a guide:

  • Urban North Island (large box): from around $18

  • Urban South Island (large box): from around $22

Smaller boxes are typically cheaper to ship, and rural deliveries may incur an additional charge.

Shipping is calculated after checkout. We will contact you as soon as possible with the exact cost".

3

Why can't you give me a delivery cost before checkout?

"To ensure you get the lowest possible delivery price, shipping is calculated after checkout based on your exact order.

The cost depends on:

  • How many plants you order (which determines how many boxes are needed)

  • Your delivery location (urban or rural, North or South Island)

We could apply fixed delivery prices by region, but that would mean many customers end up paying more than necessary. By calculating it after checkout, we make sure you’re only paying for the exact space your plants take up—nothing extra".

4

How long does delivery take?

"We work hard to get your plants to you as quickly as possible.

Because we send our orders directly to the NZ Post processing centre, delivery times are faster than standard dispatch:

  • North Island: typically 1–3 working days

  • South Island: typically 3–5 working days

To help ensure your plants arrive in the best condition, we dispatch orders on Mondays and Tuesdays, reducing the chance of plants sitting in transit over the weekend".

5

What if my plants arrive damaged?

"We take great care to ensure your plants arrive in healthy, strong condition.

Each order is carefully packaged using protective void-fill paper to prevent movement during transit, along with a plastic liner to retain moisture and stop plants from drying out. We also send our orders directly to the NZ Post processing centre to minimise delivery time and keep plants fresh.

In the unlikely event that your plants arrive in poor condition, we will happily offer a replacement or refund—just get in touch with us and we’ll make it right".
