Corokia ‘Frosted Chocolate’ is a hardy, evergreen New Zealand native shrub valued for its distinctive chocolate-brown foliage, dense growth habit, and tolerance of exposed conditions. It is especially suitable for hedging, screening, coastal gardens, and low-maintenance landscapes.

 

Description

  • Dense, upright evergreen shrub with a naturally tidy and bushy form

  • Features attractive bronze, dusky-pink, and chocolate-brown foliage

  • Leaf colour becomes darker and more intense during winter

  • Produces small yellow, star-shaped flowers in spring

  • Flowers may be followed by small red berries in autumn

  • Typically grows approximately 2 metres high and 1–1.5 metres wide, although untrimmed plants may grow larger

  • Responds well to regular pruning and shaping

 

Growing Conditions
