Coprosma acerosa

Coprosma acerosa, commonly known as sand coprosma, is a low-growing, spreading New Zealand native shrubvalued for its dense habit and excellent tolerance of exposed coastal conditions. It is ideal for groundcover, erosion control, banks, and seaside landscapes.

Description

• Low-growing, spreading evergreen shrub with flexible, interlacing branches

• Small, narrow leaves growing along attractive yellow-orange stems

• Produces tiny, inconspicuous flowers followed by small white to pale-blue berries

• Typically grows approximately 50–75 cm high and spreads up to 1.5 metres wide

• Forms a dense, textured mat that helps with weed suppression and soil protection

• Hardy, long-lived, and low-maintenance
